After-school tutoring
One volunteer, one child, twice a week, homework done, confidence rebuilt.
92 children tutored, 9 out of 10 moved up a class

School failure is not a talent problem. It is a quiet-place-to-work problem, a nobody-to-ask problem, an internet-only-on-a-phone problem.
The need
In the neighbourhoods where we work, one child in four reaches secondary school without mastering the basics. Their parents care as much as any others, they simply cannot buy the private lessons that patch the gap elsewhere.
What we do
- Two evenings a week of one-to-one tutoring, matched by subject and personality
- A quiet room, a working laptop and a printer, the study conditions many homes cannot offer
- Reading clubs for the youngest, exam preparation for the oldest
- A monthly coffee with parents, because school codes are easier to crack together
The impact
92 children followed through the 2024–2025 school year; 9 out of 10 moved up a class, and 14 of our former students came back, as volunteer tutors.

Tell us your availability and what you enjoy doing. We match people to missions, never the other way round, a rota only works when it respects real lives.
- No experience needed, every new volunteer is trained and paired with a regular
- Even two hours a month count, the rota is built around real lives
- You choose the mission: rounds, grocery, tutoring, sorting, help desk
